Vacation

We are having a nice vacation. Colby has stayed up later than usual which results in him falling asleep in different places. Here he is on the floor.




We visited the Serpentarium Thursday. Mommy and Daddy held a snake and Colby touched it.








Colby has enjoyed spending time with his cousins Max and Maren.

Saturday

Mommy took Colby for a haircut while Daddy rode in the Connecticut Challenge bike ride.

Wakeman Town Farm Family Fun Day

Colby petted a rabbit, fed chickens goats and sheep, and got a shark tattoo on his arm.

A nice week

Ashley spent a day in New York City with her friend Polly.




We watched the fireworks at Compo Beach. Colby had fun before and after the fireworks but he did NOT enjoy the fireworks display itself.




Colby and Daddy cooled off by playing in the sprinkler on our front lawn.




Colby enjoyed playing in his sand and water box; a birthday present from Aunt Marcia and Uncle Oliver.




Mommy and Daddy, along with their friends Jon and Britt, ventured into Manhattan Friday night for a concert by 10,000 Maniacs at City Winery.

South African Safari

Ashley and I celebrated our five years of marriage by going on a safari in South Africa.  Here is a sample of the 3,000+ pictures we took.

We spent one night (Saturday) at the Zulu Nyala Country Manor outside Johannesburg before flying to our safari location.

We enjoyed a nice meal Saturday night at Wombles Steakhouse in Johannesburg.  

We stayed three nights in the below "tent".  Ashley did not particularly like it as the wind created lots of strange sounds and it was a bit cold.
