South African Safari

Ashley and I celebrated our five years of marriage by going on a safari in South Africa.  Here is a sample of the 3,000+ pictures we took.

We spent one night (Saturday) at the Zulu Nyala Country Manor outside Johannesburg before flying to our safari location.

We enjoyed a nice meal Saturday night at Wombles Steakhouse in Johannesburg.  

We stayed three nights in the below "tent".  Ashley did not particularly like it as the wind created lots of strange sounds and it was a bit cold.

Ashley's 3rd Mothers Day

Ashley's day consisted of:

1- homemade pancakes for breakfast

2 - an uplifting and thankful time at church

3 - lunch at the Roger Sherman Inn where her meal included lobster, halibut, corn, risotto and chocolate mousse. Colby was very behaved and ate well too. Here are some pictures while we were on the Inn's grounds.

4 - a brief afternoon nap

5 - weather warm enough to help Daddy in the yard. We retrieved the patio furniture from winter storage and cleaned everything up. Daddy mowed the grass while Colby followed Mommy all around the yard.

6 - a massage treatment at the local Massage Envy

7 - grilled shiskabob's for dinner.

Ashley believes this Mother's Day will be hard to beat in the future.

Colby and Daddy hope that Mommy goes to bed tonight knowing that she is very loved by both of us!!
