What are rules for?

One day ago Colby asked me what are rules for. I replied "rules are made to be broken". Little did I anticipate that he would follow this advice early today while at Tumble Jungle summer camp. He violated the "no jumping" rule while on an inflatable slide and had hard impact against the thinly carpeted floor. Now he has a scraped and bruised face while Daddy is in the doghouse.
