Below is a news clipping on the storm. Colby probably won't believe us in 10 years or so when we explain that we lived through this but we are doing just that. Our house was a little cold when we awoke this morning and Ashley will shower at her office in order to have hot water. The trains are not yet running so Brian remains in CT.
From the Wall Street Journal:
Megastorm Sandy's march of destruction claimed at least 43 lives and left more than eight million people without electricity by late Tuesday, in one of the largest storms ever to strike the East Coast.
Diminished but still dangerous, the storm churned across Pennsylvania on Tuesday in an arc toward Canada. In New York, financial markets were expected to resume trading Wednesday, though big chunks of the city are without electricity and its vast network of subways remains idled by historic flooding.

Happy Halloween
We hosted a Halloween party Saturday afternoon. We invited many people. They must have heard that we host a terrific party because everyone that was invited showed up. Kids were running around everywhere and most of the adults came wearing a costume. All seemed to have a great time!
Fall Colors
We are blessed to have terrific neighbors directly across the street from us. One of the many benefits is their beautiful tree which has wonderful colors during the fall.

A good Saturday
Grandma returned to her home this morning. Before she left Colby was kind to model his Elmo Halloween costume with a huge smile on his face.
After returning from the airport Mommy and Daddy began decorating our basement for next Saturday's Halloween party. Colby became excited as he saw what we were doing. He understands that a fun afternoon is approaching. He entertained himself by playing with our floor pillows.
We concluded a good day by watching Colby devour the turkey meatloaf, mashed sweet potato and applesauce dinner and apple crisp desert that Daddy prepared.

Triple Crown
I hope Colby does not have to wait as long as I did to experience this incredible baseball accomplishment:
Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera became the first player in 45 years to win baseball's Triple Crown on Wednesday night, joining an elite list that includes Mickey Mantle, Ted Williams and Lou Gehrig.

Elmo
Two days after trying on his Elmo Halloween costume Colby received a package in the mail from Grandma. Inside was a stuffed Elmo doll and an Elmo cell phone. Daddy was not able to take a picture fast enough to capture Colby's broad smile and dancing feet. He loved both gifts and cannot wait to give Grandma a big hug!
Halloween preparation
Colby did not like his Elmo costume. I guess we should have expected this given his reaction to Larry the Lobster in Chatham.
He did appreciate wearing the pumpkin personalized sweater made by Grandma since our weather turned cold Sunday. More teeth are coming in so we frequently see him in poses similar to this one below.
All of these modeling activities tired Colby. But the fear of Elmo meant he did not want to nap in his crib so Daddy laid with him on the couch while Mommy attended a baby shower.
