China

Brian was in China for work earlier in the week.  He spent two days in Beijing and three in Shanghai.  Here are pictures of Shanghai from the hotel room window and around town.  Notice the smog from the air pollution. It was worse in Beijing.

Grandma's Birthday

Grandma's birthday is Tuesday.  That will be a special day.  However, since we often don't have a lot of free time in the evenings during the work week (and also due to having a freshly made cake) we celebrated Sunday evening.  It was a very nice party!

Grandma is visiting

Colby is looking forward to a terrific week.  His Grandmother is visiting from North Carolina.  She arrived today and we quickly engaged in a bowling match.

Sportsplex

Ashley ventured into New York City to spend the afternoon with a friend. Colby and Daddy went to the nearby Sportsplex facility. It took a while for Colby to figure out how to pull himself up and over the various obstacles but he eventually got the hang of it. We will go back as, when we left, Colby pointed at the higher floors of the gym that he didn't reach on this visit.
















He worked up a sweat and a good appetite as he devoured a large macaroni and cheese at Wilson's Barbecue.
