Hello Santa!

Colby met Santa Claus (and his wife, too) for the first time.  Unlike many other children ahead of him Colby enjoyed the experience and now anxiously awaits learning more about this bearded man in the days and weeks to come.

A short weekend

The highlight from a short weekend was our Friday night covenant group dinner. We hosted and served stuffed peppers expertly made by Fairway Market Stamford.




Colby now has a corral to play in while Mommy and Daddy get ready for work in the morning. He is becoming increasingly mobile.



We learned today that the gate must be closed otherwise Colby will crawl out to join his parents wherever they may be.

Thanksgiving 2011

We had a great Thanksgiving in Hickory!  This was Colby's first time in Ashley's hometown.  He met several new people including his three week old cousin Maren and older cousins Adam and Tyler.

Ashley won the Annual Clark Houston Bowling Championship this year!

A Weekend of Firsts

Colby tasted a real banana for the first time Sunday morning.  He ate but didn't exactly seem to enjoy.  He seemed not to know what to do with the banana once it was in his mouth.  Ashley and I will keep working with him on this as we introduce other foods in the days to come.

For another first, Colby was a guest at a birthday party for the first time on Saturday afternoon.  He enjoyws playing with the other guests and came home with a nice goody bag.

Plenty of smiles in the Welker household this weekend

Colby's grandparents from Hickory, NC visited for three days.  

Teeth

We were curious why Colby's cheeks were so red.  Our investigation showed us that his teeth are beginning to arrive!!
