Opening Day

Colby continues to receive lots of love from his Mother.  He also experienced his first Opening Day and was dressed in Phillie red.  He is looking forward to many more Phillies victories in the season ahead.  Colby's Father told him the story of how he and his Dad saw Kite Man attempt to descend into Philadelphia's Veteran's Stadium for an Opening Day several years ago. 

One Month!!

Colby is now one month old!! 

We're having fun with tummy time.  The first few sessions were held on the floor but when Colby decided to turn those into choir practice Mommy sought the advice of the doctor.  He suggested we move the exercise ball from our gym to our living room and use that for tummy time.  We all like this method much better.

Week 3

Colby doesn't like two things -- being naked or wet.  Changing diapers and bath time have turned into a few minutes where Colby works his vocal chords really well!   We are hoping our Church has a youth choir in a few years because Colby is definitely practicing. 

St. Patrick's Day was during Colby's third week of life.  We didn't need a better excuse to dress him in Spartan green.  Brian is pleased with how he smiled while looking at the baseball cap.

This was the first week Mommy was home alone with Colby and everything worked out very well.  Springtime is arriving and Colby had his first trip to Compo Beach on Thursday.  He liked it so much Mommy brought him back on Friday. 

Week 2

Colby had a terrific second week of life.  His Grandparents from Hickory were here all week and showered him with lots of love.

Birthday!!

Colby William was born at 1:45am Saturday February 26, 2011.  He weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces and was 21 inches in length. 

Cameras in Delivery Rooms

This NY Times article is an interesting read and conversation point.  The hospital we plan to deliver at has already informed us that cameras are welcome but that no video taking is allowed. 

Bed time

The nursery is almost complete.  It will have a jungle theme.  The crib was made in Ashley's hometown of Hickory, NC and was a gift from her grandfather.  Ashley and I found the pictures while vacationing in Portland, ME last summer.
