Climbing Colby is a Terrific Big Brother

Colby continues to explore and enjoy his playset.  He is now comfortable climbing the rope ladder but continues to resist the tire and disc swings.  Mommy and Daddy enjoy seeing his imagination run wild with various scenarios such as the playset being "a ship that is being attacked by pirates" or "a cruise ship coming into the dock".

Colby is also doing all that we ask relating to Daniel  He is gentle, quite and loving.   He also helps Mommy dispose of Daniel's soiled diapers.  

Daddy's birthday

Colby remains fascinated with birthday cake candles.  He also enjoys singing.  

Homecoming

After 22 days in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit our healthy but still small Daniel is home!!

Although the doctors and nurses advised us at his birth that there would be good and bad days during his stay in the NICU he experienced nothing but good days.

He weighed 3 pounds 11 ounces at birth and now weighs 4 pounds 12 ounces.

Playset

Colby is enjoying our new playset.  It is quite different than the playset his Mommy and Daddy had when they were his age.

Daniel's rose

The church home of Gigi and Grandi has displayed a rose in honor of Daniel.

Do you notice a difference in Daniel?  Go back and look again.  On Sunday he no longer has a feeding tube running through his nose!!!  Our little boy is making excellent progress.  He is breathing and eating on his own.  The doctors and nurses say he will likely be able to come home Thursday or Friday.  Our prayers continue for more good progress.  

Date night

Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a nice evening Friday. Dinner at The Whelk and Sing For Your Shakespeare at the Westport Country Playhouse. The last few weeks have been a little stressful so it was nice to unwind a little bit.

Mommy was with Daniel for bath time today. It was another good day.

He made progress with feeding today. Go Daniel!

He continues to make good progress. He was moved out of the incubator into an open-air crib. The main goal now is to get him to feed on his own.
