Colby chose the same face painting design as he did last year - a tiger.  We also enjoyed a bonfire and viewing the moon and stars through telescopes.

Thanksgiving

The ABCD hosted their first Thanksgiving.  Our guests (Grandma, Uncle Greg, Aunt Jenny and Miss Elizabeth) had no problem traveling here from North Carolina, Maryland and Fairfield.  The turkey was delicious and we enjoyed spending time with each other.

Mystery Reader part 2

Mommy read to Colby's class on Halloween Day.  She was dressed as a ketchup bottle while Colby was in his dinosaur costume.  Daddy thinks she makes that bottle look pretty good! :)

    

Halloween

We had a blast.  The Friday evening weather was terrific - crisp but not too cold.  Colby was joined by his friend Jack.  We went to a neighbors house for a pre-Trick or Treat party and then afterwards we hosted several families in our home.  The one surprise of the evening was a visit from the Westport Fire Department.  We (i.e., Brian) lit a fire in the fireplace for the first time this season and after a few minutes the smoke was billowing into our home!  The alarm was activated and about 15 minutes later the firetruck appeared.  Colby (and Jack) thought it was awesome to see the truck with its lights flashing right in front of his home while Ashley was mortified.  Colby and Jack each received a plastic fire hat from the firemen.
