Halloween

The ABC Family was finally able to celebrate Halloween and we had a terrific time.   Halloween was cancelled the last two years due to an early snowstorm and, last year, by Hurricane Sandy.  

We each wore a costume.  Mommy was flavorful Ketchup while Daddy was spicy Mustard.  Colby actually got to wear two costumes.  He started out as a Cow but when the Cow went poo and had it slide down his leg onto Mustard (i.e., Daddy) we had to return home and change into a Pirate costume (thank you Gigi and Grandi for the extra costume, it came in very handy!).  

Halloween is coming

Colby made several seasonal items in school: a pumpkin, a tree with colored leaves dropping acorns to a squirrel and a ghost necklace.

Nature provides some of the best "toys" for little boys to play with.

Haircut

Mommy took Colby for a not so good and very short haircut today.









Daddy believes this will help to convince Mommy to let Colby's hair grow long.

Emergency room visit

Colby awoke late Sunday night with breathing difficulty. Following calls to Grandma (a pediatric nurse) and our pediatrician off we went to the hospital emergency room. After Colby was successfully treated we arrived home at 3am Monday morning. Ashley went into work a little later than usual while Brian stayed home with Colby. After asking himself "what did my mother do in these situations?" he made pancakes for Colby's breakfast. Nothing makes a bad night better than your favorite breakfast meal.




Colby made progress during the day and was happy to see his Mommy when she returned home from work.




We all slept well Monday night!
