Ashley's Birthday

Ashley had a tremendous birthday celebration this year.  She had one celebration shortly after Thanksgiving while we were in Hickory with her family.  The celebration continued back home in Connecticut where we supported the business, Book A Cook, which was founded by her friend.  A cook came into our home and used our kitchen to prepare a wonderful three course meal for us and eight friends.  The menu included fondue and risotto cheese puff appetizers, flank steak and birthday cake.  To top it all off, Ashley received three bouquets of flowers from her admirers (Daddy & Colby, her parents, and a colleague she is mentoring at work).

Seattle

Brian enjoyed Friday and Saturday in Seattle. He did a little work and had plenty of fun. Toured the city and saw Pearl Jam play the final show on their North American tour in promotion of Lightning Bolt.

Halloween

The ABC Family was finally able to celebrate Halloween and we had a terrific time.   Halloween was cancelled the last two years due to an early snowstorm and, last year, by Hurricane Sandy.

We each wore a costume.  Mommy was flavorful Ketchup while Daddy was spicy Mustard.  Colby actually got to wear two costumes.  He started out as a Cow but when the Cow went poo and had it slide down his leg onto Mustard (i.e., Daddy) we had to return home and change into a Pirate costume (thank you Gigi and Grandi for the extra costume, it came in very handy!).

Halloween is coming

Colby made several seasonal items in school: a pumpkin, a tree with colored leaves dropping acorns to a squirrel and a ghost necklace.
