Traveling South on an Airplane to see Grandma

Colby experienced his first airplane flight Saturday. Considering that his father did not fly until after he had graduated from college Colby has already experienced a lot given that he is only three days away from being two months old!

Here we are waiting to board at LaGuardia airport.

On board the plane traveling to Myrtle Beach.

The trip was made worthwhile by seeing the smile on Grandma's face!

Day one of Colby's first vacation is done. Seven more great days to go.

Baptism

Colby was baptized Sunday, which also happened to be Palm Sunday.  We were blessed by the visits of several family members including a few (Great Grandfather, Aunt Margaret and Uncle Marty, cousin Max) who had not yet met Colby.  Following the ceremony all of our family members and many friends enjoyed a luncheon prepared by A Dash of Salt, a local catering company that is owned by a member of our church.

This picture says it all.  A baby with no worries and his very loving and proud Mother.

Great Grandfather - how many of us can say we were held by a Great Grandparent?

Week six

Mommy and Daddy treated me very well this week. We participated in a charity walk with one of Mommy's friends last Sunday. It was cold but I was kept warm by my Phillies hat and sweater knitted by my Grandmother.

Mommy put me in the Baby Bjorn carrier for what seemed like a long time. She liked this because both of her hands were available to do other things. Personally, I am not sure about the contraption. I will keep an open mind and try it again soon.

My Daddy continued his practice of taking way too many pictures. This one was just too close for comfort!

This one was better and is one of Daddy's favorites. He shows it to his business associates.

Last night I had my first baby sitter. She lives nearby and is a member of our church. I liked her and hope to see her again soon.

Today we are going to Church. Another baby will be baptized so all three of us are quite curious about what is in store for me next weekend.

Opening Day

Colby continues to receive lots of love from his Mother.  He also experienced his first Opening Day and was dressed in Phillie red.  He is looking forward to many more Phillies victories in the season ahead.  Colby's Father told him the story of how he and his Dad saw Kite Man attempt to descend into Philadelphia's Veteran's Stadium for an Opening Day several years ago.
